Lauren had to go back to the OR early this morning. The doctors had been watching her labs and were concerned with some. They wanted to check her liver and were thinking it may be a blood flow problem that they could repair. She is stable, but we haven't heard anything else yet. I will update when I know more. ReplyDeleteI’m thinking and praying for sweet Lauren. I’m really sorry she had to return to the OR. It sounds like this is a mechanical problem and fixable. My daughter had complications also and there were many, many ups and downs. Heather was hospitalized five times after her transplant the first year. These are huge surgeries and things come up. I’m by no way minimizing what is happening, just sharing and letting you know that others have gone down this path and pulled through.
I wish there was an easier way for Lauren, but I’m grateful she got this chance. A friend of mine who was a U of M nurse said something that helped me immensely. She said people with strong hearts survive these big surgeries. Lauren is young and has a great support system and has so many people praying and rooting for her.
Thank you for the update. I know it’s a lot of worry and sleepless nights, but hang in there.
